Large and Small Lettsy

The village of Malye Letsy is known for having two famous sanatoriums and springs with mineral water. Here you can walk around the surrounding natural beauties, breathe in the pure coniferous air and catch zen with the fishermen by the lake.

The Big and Small Lettsy were separated when the railway was being laid. It turned out that the Small Lettsy are larger in size than the Large ones. They are located at a distance of 4 km from each other, which can be easily overcome on foot.

In Bolshie Letsy, you can walk along the picturesque hills. And the section of the old cobbled road to Polotsk will lead you to the estate of the botanist Adamov.

Here the scientist founded the Botanical Garden, which operated from the very beginning of the 20th century until 1924. Then in the garden there were about 400 species of rare tree species, there was a collection of perennial herbaceous plants, a greenhouse with 300 species of exotic plants, a herbarium, more than 2000 species of medicinal, technical, berry and other plants, a collection of seeds. There was also a botanical museum. Today, only fragments have survived from the botanical garden. But the estate is still alive, and one of the active residents of Vitebsk even tried to restore it.
